In 2018, HWB President and Founder Marwa Khouzami Awad ran the 24k race to raise awareness on the importance of Embrace’s 24/7 hotline 1564 that saves lives through providing counseling to avoid suicide attempts.
Embrace Fundraising Campaign
In 2019, HWB President and Founder Marwa Khouzami Awad ran the Beirut Marathon Association women’s race to help raise funds for the Embrace 1564 lifeline for suicide prevention and mental health.
Sickle Cell Fund Fundraising Event
Within her role as president of the Sickle Cell fund at the American University of Beirut, HWB President organized a fundraising dinner at the Embassy of Lebanon in London in May 2019.
